Aspyr Media Inc. plans to release Call of Duty Deluxe in December. The Macintosh-specific gaming bundle includes the original Call of Duty, a World War II-themed first person shooter, along with the United Offensive expansion pack. It’ll soon be available for pre-order through Aspyr’s Web site, and is rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
Call of Duty puts you in the role of soldiers fighting in historic World War II battles like D-Day and Stalingrad. You fight alternately as American, British and Russian soldiers, playing through 24 single-player missions on four interconnected campaigns. Once you’re done with the single-player missions there’s also robust multiplayer play to enjoy.
United Offensive continues the action by adding 13 new single-player missions, 11 new multiplayer maps and three new gameplay modes, with vehicles including tanks, jeeps, motorcycles and more. New weapons include flamethrowers and deployable machine guns and artillery strikes.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, G4/867MHz or faster, 256MB RAM, ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics with 32MB or more VRAM, and DVD drive.
