Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 puts you in charge of an amusement park, where you’re responsible for every aspect of its creation and operation, from laying out the park and installing the rides to hiring the staff that will maintain it. You can build custom-designed roller coasters and other thrill rides, then ride them using the “CoasterCam.” You can also create your own pyrotechnic lightshows using the Fireworks MixMaster, synchronizing your displays to music. The game includes more than 170 rides, realistic day and night cycles and more.
An enormously popular franchise on the PC, this is the first Rollercoaster Tycoon game to find its way Macward. Aspyr’s internal game development team, Aspyr Studios, handled the Mac game conversion, which was based on developer Frontier’s original code.
