Oranged.net Software on Monday introduced a new version of its organizational software for studios and freelancers, Studiometry. Studiometry 3.1 is a free update for registered 3.x users. It costs US$129.95 to register; a free 21-day trial version is available for download.
New to this release is File Serving, which lets you host project-related files on your network server, complete with check in/check out, sync capabilities and more. Also new are Automated Invoicing features which let you set up schedules to invoice projects; a new Business History section which shows totals for billed items, worked hours or payments over the course of a year; the ability to view unbilled items in the new Items Awaiting Invoice section, and more.
Studiometry 3.1 features a big performance boost thanks to a restructured internal data format, according to Oranged.net. The interface has also been enhanced with a new status window that pops up when you position the mouse cursor over clients and projects. The window displays outstanding To Do’s, running timers and other info.
