Sonnet Technologies’ PodFreq works with new video-capable iPods, according to the company. The PodFreq is an integrated FM transmitter, charger and cradle designed for use in autos. It costs US$99.99.
Sonnet claims the PodFreq sounds better than other FM transmitters do, because it uses different technology to broadcast audio content over FM signals. It’s available in white or black finishes to match white iPods, iPod U2 Special Edition models, and the new black-clad iPod. Sonnet also makes a version to fit the iPod mini. (The iPod nano and iPod shuffle are not yet supported).
