Griffin Technology Inc. on Thursday announced the release of its radio Shark 2.0 software. The software powers Griffin’s radio Shark radio receiver for the Mac and PC, and is available as a free download from the Web site.
The radio Shark gets its name from its unique fin shape. The devices connects through USB and lets users listen to AM or FM radio stations on their Mac, recording and time-shifting radio programs. You can create presets of your favorite stations in addition to scheduling.
New to this release of the radio Shark software is a new, compact, redesigned interface, improved scheduling, improved 10-band equalizer, expanded record/playback, tuning and appearance preferences, spectrum visualizer, selectable display color, dock icon with display of station and record status and AppleScript support.
Radio Shark 2.0 requires a G3 or higher processor running Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
Also included in this release is the radio Shark widget, for use with Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger’s” Dashboard software. The widget lets you control the radio Shark from within Dashboard.
