Xitel Pty Ltd on Monday introduced HiFi-Link for iPod, a docking station that connects Apple’s dock connector-equipped iPods to home stereos or televisions and charges their batteries. The HiFi-Link is priced at US$99.95.
The HiFi-Link includes a five-button remote control and incorporates SRS TruBass technology, to enhance lower audio frequencies. The HiFi-Link features Apple’s Universal Dock design, and comes with five inserts to accommodate various versions of third, fourth and fifth-generation iPods, iPod nanos and iPod minis.
The HiFi-Link features composite video and stereo RCA connectors on its backplane, as well as a knob to adjust the TruBass effect. Xitel claims the remote works up to 50 feet away, and allows users to swap between tracks and playlists, pause, play, fast forward, fast rewind or turn the iPod off all together.
Included in the package is the HiFi-Link, remote, batteries, power adapter, audio cable, audio adapter cable, user guide and dock inserts.
