SendStation Systems is giving away 1,000 of its PocketDock iPod adapters — devices that enable many dock connector-equipped iPods to communicate and charge using six-pin FireWire cables.
The PocketDock takes the place of the docking cable included with some iPods — it’s a small apparatus that features a male dock connector on one end and a female six-pin FireWire jack on the other. It’s compatible with third, fourth and fifth-generation iPods, iPod photos, iPod minis and iPod nanos, although it will only charge the batteries of — not sync data with — fifth generation iPods and iPod nanos.
SendStation is giving away the free PocketDocks — a $19 value — now through December 24, 2005 or while supplies last.
