Computer Systems Odessa on Monday announced the release of ConceptDraw 5.5.0, a new version of its business and technical diagramming software for Mac OS X and Windows. New to this release is XML export for Microsoft’s popular Visio software and other enhancements.
ConceptDraw is used for creating flow charts, data flow diagrams, organizational charts, workflow diagrams, network topologies and more. It’s used by IT and business professionals and consultants and others.
In addition to XML export for MS Visio, ConceptDraw 5.5.0 also adds support of alpha-channel transparency for any object, line, filling, shadows and text. Any object can now have its own color palette. Units of measurement have been enlarged, the ConceptDrawBasic editor has been improved, more task-specific shapes have been added, data processing speed has been increased and text operations have been improved.
Upgrades from previous versions cost $79 for the Standard version, $99 for the Professional version. ConceptDraw 5.5.0 Standard costs $149, Professional costs $299.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later, G3 or faster, 128MB RAM, 200MB hard disk drive.
