Toshiba on Tuesday introduced its TDP-S8U and TDP-T9U, two new digital mobile projectors priced at $799 and $1099 respectively (Toshiba’s Web site lists a higher price for the TDP-T9U — $1465).
Both projectors are based around Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology. They also feature analog video, S-video, composite video and audio in-out ports. Both weigh 4.4 pounds and have fans that operate at less than 31dB.
The TDP-S8U touts 1800 ANSI lumens brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio and native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The TDP-S9U features 2000 ANSI lumens brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio and native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution.
