Ambrosia Software has pulled back the curtain on a new game in development called SketchFighter 4000 Alpha. A 2D scrolling shooter, SketchFighter 4000 Alpha evokes those doodles that many of us used to make in grade school.
“Remember those super-cool space ships you doodled on graph paper, waging massive intergalactic battles in History class with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance? Well they have sprung to life in SketchFighter 4000 Alpha,” said the company in an entry on its Upcoming Products Web page.
The developer behind the game describes it as “a shooter of sorts with an emphasis on exploration where you go around in your ship defeating big bosses and gathering upgrades to your ship that allows you to access new areas.”
A two-player mode lets players compete or work together to collect points. The two-player mode features an “elastic tether” that connects the two players together.
Features include sound effects with stereo panning, an MP3 soundtrack, save stations, minimap, five interconnected regions, seven bosses and four minibosses, a weapons system that can make 16 weapon combinations, and more.
