Nova media has added support for more mobile phones and PC Data cards in its latest release of Mobile High Speed 3G, a Mac OS X utility that enables laptop users to connect to Internet services using cellular technology. It costs €75 (US$89.13).
Mobile High Speed 3G is a “wizard” that helps users set up cellular connections through their Mac and a compatible cell phone or PC Data card. The software supports more than 280 connection settings for UMTS, EDGE and GPRS networks around the globe. The software automatically detects your mobile phone when it’s been connected to the Mac, and configures the phone settings and network carrier settings automatically.
New to this release is support for Motorola’s Razr V3x and Rokr E1 phone models, the Nokia N70 and N90, Samsung’s ZM60 and D600 and the Sony Ericsson W550i. Also new in this release is support for PC Data cards including the Globetrotter 3G EDGE and Sierra Wireless AC 750, 775 and 850 models.
An update to Mobile High Speed v4.24 is now available for free download for registered users. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
