By their very nature utilities are usually not considered fun, but a new application called AppZapper puts a little fun into the sometimes tedious task of uninstalling applications. Most Mac OS X applications require a simple drag and drop to install, but often times finding all of the preference and support files can be a bit difficult, especially for new users. To uninstall an application using AppZapper, you just drag and drop it onto AppZapper and it finds all of the support files and other miscellaneous install files and lists them for you. Clicking “Zap” will then put all of the files in the trash, with a flash of the screen and an arcade sounding zapping sound. AppZapper also supports the deletion of multiple applications at the same time. AppZapper costs $12.95; the demo version will allow you to uninstall five applications.
