announced the DLO HomeDock Deluxe Home Entertainment Center for iPod with on-screen Navigation. The dock for the iPod allows a user to view and navigate their iPod’s music and songs on their television screen while controlling the iPod using the included 18-button remote control. The HomeDock Deluxe also allows iPod owners to play their slideshows and videos on their big-screen TV. It will ship this March for a retail price of $149.99, and will also be on display at
in San Francisco this week at the DLO booth (booth #425).
HomeDock displays iPod’s music content on a user’s TV screen via the HomeDock interface. The included remote provides access to songs and playlists, and controls over 14 iPod playback functions. The current track and time is displayed at the top of the TV screen, while music menu listings appear below. The DLO HomeDock Deluxe also plays and remotely controls picture slideshows and videos from capable iPods. A built-in screensaver protects TVs from burn-in if the screen sits idle for too long.
The DLO HomeDock Deluxe connects to a home entertainment system with standard RCA plugs and S-Video connection. The iPod’s music is sent to the stereo through the audio line-out from the dock connector of the iPod, a higher quality audio connection than is available when users plug their iPod into a stereo with a Y-cable from the headphone jack. Included with the HomeDock is an AC power supply that also charges the iPod when docked, a 6-foot AV cable for audio and video, a 18-button IR remote control and a powered speaker adapter. HomeDock fits any dockable iPod, including the iPod nano. HomeDock Deluxe on-screen navigation works with all dockable iPods back to the 3G iPod. Both PC and Mac compatible, it features a USB 2.0 port for syncing and charging from a users computer, which can also be used to power the HomeDock Deluxe.
