Griffin Technology announced TuneFlex for iPod nano, a dock and charger designed for an automobile. TuneFlex has a flexible steel neck that adjusts to any angle, while its cradle will grip a nano and rotate to stay upright and readable in any position.
TuneFlex plugs into a car’s 12 Volt accessory outlet to power and charge an iPod. The light at the base of TuneFlex’s neck shows power status. TuneFlex’s charging circuitry is even equipped with a fuse to keep iPod’s safe from power mishaps.
TuneFlex features a variety of playback options. A built-in 1/8” stereo line-out audio jack lets users attach cassette adapters or cables from a nano to a stereo. It also includes a pass-through dock connector that lets you use digital devices, such as FM transmitters, remotes, cassette adapters, and others. A low-high audio output switch is designed to eliminate distortion.
