Fifth-generation iPod owners will be able to watch videos stored on their music players through a pair of glasses from MicroOptical. The company has released the
myvu Personal Media Viewer
in the U.S., after making a version of the glasses available in France for the Samsung D600 cell phone.
The myvu viewer routes video and audio from the
to a pair of sunglass-style eyewear, allowing users to watch and listen to the content from their iPod without looking at its screen. The glasses give video a large-screen effect; users can watch from any position without having to hold the iPod in front of their faces.
The myvu Personal Media Vieweris available exclusively at
at the MicroOptical booth (#849) for $269. The company expects to ship the glasses in spring.
