Doctors, dentists, and chiropractors will be able to take advantage of a broadcasting dialing package released by Parliant at this week’s Macworld Expo, thanks to a joint effort between the telephony software developer and MacPractice.
The new PhoneHerald Broadcast Dialer with Interactive Voice Response will integrate seamlessly with the communication capabilities in MacPractice’s assorted practice management products—MacPractice MD, MacPractice DDS, and MacPractice DC. Physicians with MacPractice software can use the Parliant PhoneHerald product to automate calls to patients reminding them of appointments. PhoneHerald also can personalize automated messages as well as allow live transfers to a receptionist.
The Parliant-MacPractice partnership marks the first time a full-featured automated group dialer has been available to Mac-based medical practices, MacPractice president Mark Hollis said.
The compatibility with PhoneHerald wasn’t MacPractice’s only collaboration announced at Macworld Expo. Earlier this week, the company struck a deal with Ellkay Data Conversion Services to offer services enabling PC- and legacy Mac-based medical, dental, and chiropractic offices to move their operations to Mac OS X. The two companies have developed a format to quickly convert data from any other practice management software to MacPractice.
