Guitar Amp and effects modeling company, IK Multimedia announced on Thursday the addition of StealthPlug to its product line. The new hardware provides guitarists with an easy way to connect their guitar to a computer and use virtual amps like AmpliTube.
StealthPlug is both an audio card and a virtual amp with effects, according to the company. The hardware serves as a USB audio interface with a 1/4-inch jack on one side and USB on the other side. The StealthPlug also includes a mini-jack stereo output for headphones/amp/powered speakers, an indication LED and volume buttons.
StealthPlug will come bundled with AmpliTube Live and AmpliTube LE and requires an 866MHz Power Macintosh G4, with 512MB of RAM, Mac OS X 10.3 or later, 1024×768 screen thousands of colors.
StealthPlug will be available in the summer of 2006.
