Aspyr Media on Monday announced that it will publish a Macintosh conversion of The Sims 2 Nightlife, an expansion pack for The Sims 2 that will ship for the Mac in March.
The Sims 2 is the virtual life strategy game published for the Mac by Aspyr Media. The game was released in 2005 and has already spawned an expansion pack called The Sims 2 University, in which you can take your Sims to college. The expansion packs require the full Sims 2 game to use.
In The Sims 2 Nightlife, you send your Sims on a night out on the town — they’ll go to lounges, clubs and a new downtown area, enjoy candlelit dinners in restaurants and more. More than 125 new objects and items have been included, including a DJ station, photo booth, karaoke machine and more. New Sim models have been included including vampires and waiters.
What’s more, The Sims 2 Nightlife adds new features to the game, such as the Pleasure Seeker life aspiration, the ability to own their very own cars and more.
Aspyr has not yet updated its Web site with details on the expansion pack, but its system requirements should be similar to The Sims 2 itself. The Sims 2 Nightlife is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB.
