Alien Skin Software on Tuesday introduced Exposure, a new Photoshop plug-in that simulates the look and feel of film. Exposure costs $199.
Exposure can recreate current and discontinued film stocks using exposure as a one-click effect. It also simulates darkroom and studio effects including push and cross processing. The plug-in gives you a way to manage saturation, light temperature, dynamic range, softness, sharpness and grain in one place, according to the developer. Exposure includes dozens of presets to simulate real world film stocks like Kodachrmose, Ektachrome and Velvia.
System requirements call for a G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM and Mac OS X v10.3.8 or later, as well as Photoshop 7 or later, or a compatible host program that can use a Photoshop 7 plug-in.
