C-Command has updated SpamSieve, its spam filtering application for Mac OS X mail software, to version 2.4.1. New to this release is a universal binary that works natively on PowerPC or Intel-based Macs. A free update for registered users, SpamSieve costs $25 to register.
SpamSieve works in addition to your mail application, and analyzes mail using Bayesian filtering techniques, sorting out spam from good mail and relegating it to a separate folder or directory. It works with Apple Mail, Entourage, Eudora and other e-mail client software.
In addition to universal binary support, SpamSieve 2.4.1 also includes changes to its tokenizer and HTML parser, improves filtering of messages with attachments, added Apple Mail settings that control whether messages trained as spam are left on the server and much more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later and a compatible e-mail client. A demo is available for download.
