Karelia Software — creator of the online search tool Watson — has updated the public beta version of its new Web creation tool Sandvox with new features and bug fixes.
Sandvox is a visual Web site creation application. It features drag and drop support, live rich text editing, “Pagelets,” weblog support, built-in design templates, podcasting, photo sharing, raw HTML editing and more.
If the similarity to Apple’s new iLife application iWeb grabs your attention, it hasn’t been lost on Karelia either. Sandvox’s developers tout the software’s extensibility, its support for custom HTML content, its ability to publish content away from .Mac and other features that iWeb does not support.
Karelia has not named a price or a specific release date yet, but the public beta of Sandvox requires Mac OS X v10.4.4. Sandvox is a Universal Binary.
