Independent game publisher and game engine maker GarageGames on Thursday announced a Universal Binary version of one of its games and, more importantly, its game development tools.
GarageGames has created the Torque Game Engine, a 3D game technology that’s available for licensing by independent developers for as little as $100. Torque has been used by game makers to create Marble Blast Gold, Orbz, Dark Horizons Lore and other games that are available for the Macintosh and other platforms.
GarageGames stated plans to bring forth Universal Binaries of its games starting with Marble Blast Gold on February 27th. At the same time, it will also introduce Universal Binary versions of the Torque Game Engine and Torque 2D Game Engine.
Finally, GarageGames has noted plans to provide Intel-native support for all future tools and games released for Mac OS X.
