Wingspan Partners has unveiled a demo video of its iLoad-C, a new peripheral designed to load an iPod nano with music from cell phone network music stores. iLoad-C is coming this summer for $199, according to the company.
The device works with music stores operated by cell phone carriers including Verizon, Sprint/Nextel, Cingular and T-Mobile.
What’s more, iLoad-c features built-in WiFi wireless networking capability.
Wingspan “will shortly begin discussions with Apple and others” to enable that capability, the company said in a statement.
Wingspan also is developing a product that copy CDs to the iPod without using a computer, and another device that does the same for a video iPod and satellite or cable TV boxes.
