Apple added Academy Award-nominated short films and three television shows from Bravo to the iTunes Music Store Tuesday. The additions came just prior to Apple’s Tuesday press event in Cupertino, Calif., in which the company has promised “fun new products.”
Each of the five new films added is nominated for Best Live Action short film at the 78th annual Academy Awards, which will be awarded this weekend. The new additions join shorts by Pixar and Disney as the only films currently available for sale on the iTunes Music Store.
Also added today were three new shows from the Bravo network, Inside the Actor’s Studio, Project Runway, and Top Chef. The Bravo cable channel is owned by NBC-Universal, which already has a number of offerings available at Apple’s online store.
