Aspyr Media has announced the release of Universal Binary updates for its Macintosh conversions of Spider-Man 2 The Game and Shrek 2. Both updates are version 1.1, and both are available for download from Macgamefiles.com.
Based on the hit computer-animated movie from Dreamworks, Shrek 2 follows the adventures of the big green ogre as they go on adventure through the odd fairytale world they inhabit. This 3D action platformer has you play as Shrek and four of his friends as you explore the land and go on a variety of missions, battling monsters and solving puzzles. More general information about this game is available from Aspyr’s Web site. A Macworld review is also available.
Spider-Man 2 The Game follows the same storyline as the major motion picture, though it’s a bit different from console games that share the same name — a bit more cartoon-style. This 3D swinging action game puts players in the role of Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, as he swings through the concrete canyons of New York City on the way to battle the evil Doc Ock. More general info about the game can also be found on Aspyr’s Web site. A Macworld review is also available.
In addition to Universal Binary support to run natively on Intel-based Macs, the updates both contain fixes for some graphical issues, according to Aspyr.
