Iogear on Monday announced the release of their MiniView USB KVM Switch, a four-port keyboard, video and mouse switch designed to fit under the Mac mini. It costs $129.95 and is available now.
The MiniView USB KVM Switch — model number GCS634U — features VGA, USB and audio jacks, and lets you share a single keyboard, mouse and display with up to four computers. It includes two built-in six-foot cables, two extra ports and two detachable cables.
Although the Mac mini features Digital Visual Interface (DVI), the Iogear switch uses VGA connectors instead (Apple includes a DVI to VGA adapter in the box with the Mac mini).
The device also features “hot key” support — when used with a PC keyboard, hot keys emulate the special keys on a Mac keyboard. It’s also compatible with Windows PCs and Sun Solaris workstations.
