Keyspan on Monday announced its new TuneView Remote, a wireless remote control for iTunes and iPod that features its own color LCD screen. The remote costs $99 and is coming in May.
The device works in conjunction either with the $79 Tuneview Dock for iPod, or a $39 USB adapter that connects directly to your Mac or PC. The dock is coming in May, while the USB adapter will be ready this summer. The radio frequency (RF)-based remote lets you play, pause, adjust volume and change tracks, but the built-in LCD screen also lets you see the contents of your iPod or iTunes.
The USB adapter works in conjunction with iTunes and Keyspan’s own Mac OS X or Windows software. The TuneView Dock features a universal dock connector that supports any iPod with a dock connector, including the iPod nano and the iPod mini.
The dock also includes a USB power adapter, USB cable, audio cable and three dock adapters.
