Nyko Technologies on Monday announced that it’s shipping the Speaker Dock 2, a compact speaker system for the iPod. It costs $99.99.
The Speaker Dock 2 features a round base with two speakers. It has a dock connector and includes adapters to fit the whole line of dock connector-equipped iPods; it’s compatible with other devices using a line-in audio cable.
The Speaker Dock can be powered by an AC adapter or four AA batteries. When plugged in, it charges the iPod’s battery.
