WiebeTech on Tuesday announced the mini USBDock, a device that enables technicians and others to connect a serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive mechanism to a computer using a USB cable. The mini USBDock costs $99.95.
With the mini USBDock, you can connect the drive, attach power, and then read, write or access the drive just as if it were inside the computer. The mini USBDock features works with one or two bare SATA drives, and features power status LEDs that show you when the drive is attached, power is on and being accessed. The drives are powered using the included AC adapter.
