Wi-Gear has introduced its
wireless headphones for dock connector-equipped iPods and Bluetooth-equipped cell phones. The headphones cost $179.99 and are available in either white or black.
The iMuff MB210 headphones feature a transmitter that connects to any iPod with a dock connector. The headphones wrap behind the wearer’s ear and feature controls that enable you to pause playback, change volume, skip tracks and seek music.
What’s more, there’s a built in microphone. So when you’ve paired the headphones with your Bluetooth-equipped cell phone, you can use the headset to talk and listen to callers. And when a call is received, music playback is automatically paused; then it’s resumed when the call is completed. A rechargeable lithium polymer battery provides up to 16 hours of playback time per charge — an AC adapter is included.
New to the MB210 is “Clear Voice Capture” (CVC) technology that provides echo cancellation and noise cancellation. The MB210 also features improved range and better signal reliability, louder, clearer audio, and better compatibility with Bluetooth-equipped devices that conform to the Bluetooth 2.0 Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) specification.
