Want to use an LCD panel for watching TV and using your Mac? Then check out Sony’s new MFM-HT205, a 20-inch Mac and PC-compatible LCD display the features its own built-in NTSC TV tuner. The display goes on sale in April for about $900.
The MFM-HT205 is a widescreen display with a native 1680 x 1050 screen resolution, and features a wall-mountable design. In addition to HD-15 analog and DVI-HDCP digital inputs, the display sports S-Video, component and composite video connectors.
The MFM-HT205 has 470 cd/m2 brightnes and a contrast ratio of up to 1600:1. It can be viewed from 170 degree angles horizontally and vertically, and includes two 3-watt stereo speakers and a subwoofer, as well as SRS Labs’ WOW 3D audio technology, for simulated surround sound.
The SonyStyle Web site had not been updated with information about the new display as Macworld posted this article.
