Apple’s Web site features a new television ad to promote the iPod nano. It can be viewed using QuickTime, and is available in High Definition (HD) and iPod-ready formats as well.
Pushing the message “1000 songs in your pocket,” the ad is inspired by Mac OS X’s iTunes Artwork screen saver, which renders album cover art on your Mac’s screen. There are a lot more album covers in this ad, though, and they’re a lot more active — forming a vast urban landscape of skyscrapers and buildings, all of which cascade and dissolve into a swirling vortex that’s sucked up by a hungry iPod nano.
The spot features the aptly titled single “Cubicle” from French electronic duo Rinôçérôse.
