Casual game developer Last Day of Work (LDW) is putting the finishing touches on a Mac version of their game Fish Tycoon, and they’re looking for Macintosh gamers to help them beta test the title before it’s released to the general public.
Fish Tycoon is a fish breeding sim game where you breed and care for exotic fish in a virtual aquarium. Your goal is to discover the “Seven Magic Fish of Isola” and solve the genetic puzzle.
You start with a small selection of fish, a tank and some money. It’s up to you to breed them, care for them, help them grow, and cure their ailments. You can buy supplies, medicine, and special chemicals, research technologies or invest in marketing efforts. You raise money by selling the exotic hybrids you’ve bred in your shop.
What’s more, Fish Tycoon runs in real time — so when you turn off your computer or exit the game and come back several hours later, fish will have grown and new surprises will be waiting for you.
Mac gamers interested in beta testing the forthcoming Mac version are encouraged to go to LDW’s Support Web page and send a note with your name, e-mail address, previous beta testing experience, if applicable, and something interesting about yourself. Potential testers are advised that they must be 18 years old or older and willing to abide by the terms of a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
