MacPractice and aMac have announced that their respective software applications for Mac-toting dentists will soon be integrated. What’s more, MacPractice 2 and aMac are Universal Binaries, running natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
MacPractice DDS 2 is dental practice management software for Mac OS X. It features patient and insurance billing and tracking, EClaims, scheduling, word processing, prescriptions, reports, image storage and Perio charting. aMac is a digital sensor, pan an intraoral imaging software package for Mac OS X.
MacPractice expects to ship MacPractice DDS 2 within the next 10 to 30 days, along with updated versions of MacPractice MD (for physicians) and MacPractice DC (for Chiropractors).
Other new features in the forthcoming release include drill-down reports, reminders, an interface with PhoneHerald to manage automated appointment reminders, schedule transparencies for block time, and more. A new attachment capability lets you attach any kind of document in any format with a patient’s record.
