Toybox Games has released a Mac version of Flip or Flop Home Edition. The game is available for purchase and download from Macgamestore.com; a playable demo is also available for downlood. Flip or Flop Home Edition costs $19.99.
“Poor Granny has gotten herself in trouble again. She forgot to pay her taxes and now the Government has taken beautiful house. Now you have to help your poor Granny and start buying, renovating and selling houses,” explains Toybox.
A variation on “collect three or more” puzzle games, the objects you’re trying to match are home improvement products — everything from flooring to trim to paint and wallpaper, and much more. Once you’ve got a match you add that onto your house’s value. Add enough value and you’ll win the round, then you can flip your earnings into a bigger place that needs more improvement. Keep going up, and eventually you’ll have enough cash to buy back Granny’s house from the Feds. If you can’t beat the clock, though, you’ll take a bath — instead of “flipping” the house, you’ll “flop.”
Flip or Flop Home Edition features more than 100 renovating levels, 10 different renovation “pieces” and four different neighborhoods to renovate and explore. It also touts three different difficulty modes.
System requirements call for Mac OS X.
