Stairways Software has released Interarchy 8, a new version of its File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client for Mac OS X. The new version is available for download now, and costs $39 to register. Upgrades from previous releases cost $19.
The new version is a Universal Binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs. Also new in this release is support for Automator actions, Dashboard widgets (both for Tiger users), WebDAV support, including iDisk — part of Apple’s .Mac service — FTP/SSL-TLS support, HTTPS, HTTP authentication, UTF-8 support throughout, and more.
Users who bought Interarchy 7 after January 1, 2006 can upgrade to Interarchy 8 for free. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
