Mireth Technology Corp. on Thursday announced the release of Music Man 1.7.6, a Universal Binary version of their audio software that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs. The new release also gains new capabilities. A free update for registered users, Music Man costs $19.95.
Music Man rips, converts, burns and plays MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, AIF, audio CD and Ogg Vorbis-encoded music on Mac OS X. The software was originally developed to let users burn MP3s to CDs. Special features include variable burn quality, a mono mixdown capability and more.
Besides Intel Mac compatibility, Music Man adds audio CD burning capability in this release.
System requirements call for a G3 or later, Mac OS X v10.2.3 or later, and QuickTime 6 or later.
