Xitel on Thursday introduced its HiFi-Link for Apple’s iPod nano, a device that connects the iPod nano to a home stereo, providing charging and remote control capabilities. It will go on sale in mid-April for $69.95.
Xitel’s HiFi-Link for iPod features a universal dock design and accordingly works with the iPod nano, but Xitel has designed this new unit specifically for the iPod nano. What’s more, the HiFi-Link for iPod nano is made in black.
The HiFi-Link for iPod nano gives you a place to connect your iPod while charging the battery; it includes gold-plated stereo outputs to connect to a home stereo, boom box or set of powered speakers. It also incorporated SRS “TruBass” technology to amplify bass from your iPod nano’s music.
A wireless remote control works up to 50 feet away, and allows you to swap tracks, playlists, pause, play, fast forward and rewind your music, change volume or turn the iPod nano off and on.
Xitel’s Web site had not been updated with information about the HiFi-Link for iPod nano as Playlist posted this article.
