Vindico Technologies — a company founded by the same folks who run U.K.-based Mac game publisher Virtual Programming — has announced the launch of Deliver2Mac, a digital delivery technology for Mac users.
The service has been created to provide Mac users with a way of buying and downloading digital versions of commercial Mac software releases, without having to wait for discs to be delivered and without needing to visit a retail location to buy software off the store shelves. The service features customer account information with purchase history; a secure payment system that accepts local currency from the U.S., U.K. and E.U., and offers up full versions of Mac commercial software.
While the service is launching with Virtual Programming’s library of games available for purchase, it won’t be limited to that, according to Vindico — the company plans to add new software regularly.
