AmpliTube-maker IK Multimedia on Tuesday announced support for Apple’s Intel Macs. The company said that all of its products, including the popular guitar amp and effects software AmpliTube, would move to the new platform in the second quarter of 2006.
In addition to its completely redesigned interface, AmpliTube 2.0 also features 5 separate modules, including Tuner, Stomp, Amp Head, Miked Cabinet and Rack Effects. The software also includes 14 Preamps and EQs, 7 Power Amps, 16 Cabinets, 6 Microphones, 21 Stomp Effects and 11 Rack Effects.
Amp models included in this release are based on Fender, Vox, Marshall, THD and Supro, among others. Some of the many Stomp Box effects are based on the Arbiter FuzzFace, Ibanez Tube Screamer, MXR Dynacomp, MXR Phase100 and the Electro Harmonix Memory Man.
IK Multimedia also makes Ampeg (a bass amp plug-in), Classik Studio Reverb, SampleTank, T-TackS, Philharmonik and others.
