IK Multimedia is offering a demo version of Classik Studio Reverb (CSR), the company’s professional-level reverb music plug-in. The company also announced that AmpliTube 2, the guitar amp and effects application is shipping and a new Web site dedicated to its Ampeg bass amp product is now online.
CSR offers a suite of 4 high quality reverbs: Hall, Room, Ambience and Inverse, which are designed to emulate the sounds of high-quality outboard reverb units. IK said the software has the look and feel of a typical effects rack, bringing all the necessary controls to the front.
CSR operates in easy or advanced mode depending on the user. Easy mode puts the most important controls on the front panel of the plug-in — these include Mix, Diffusion, Reverb Time, Low Frequency Gain, High Frequency Cutoff and High Frequency Dampening.
Advanced mode features a variety of modeling and shaping controls with over 100 reverb parameters, all of which can be adjusted.
The CSR demo version is only available to users equipped with any Syncrosoft USB dongle or iKey. The Classik Studio Reverb Demo version works with exactly the same features of the full version of CSR for 30 starts or 10 days.
IK is also shipping AmpliTube 2, the much-anticipated follow-up to the company’s popular guitar amp modeling software.
AmpliTube has a completely redesigned interface and also features 5 separate modules, including Tuner, Stomp, Amp Head, Miked Cabinet and Rack Effects. The software also includes 14 Preamps and EQs, 7 Power Amps, 16 Cabinets, 6 Microphones, 21 Stomp Effects and 11 Rack Effects.
Amp models included in this release are based on Fender, Vox, Marshall, THD and Supro, among others. Some of the many Stomp Box effects are based on the Arbiter FuzzFace, Ibanez Tube Screamer, MXR Dynacomp, MXR Phase100 and the Electro Harmonix Memory Man.
Bass guitar players will want to note a new Web site the company recently put online dedicated to its new bass product, Ampeg SVX.
The Ampeg plug-in is be powered by the same technology that IK uses in AmpliTube. Users can choose over 20 bass gear emulations, including classic Ampeg bass amp models like the SVT Classic, B15W Portaflex “Flip Top,” BA500 and SVT4 PRO.
You can also select from Ampeg stomps like the SPC-OT Octaver or the SCP-OD Overdrive, or cabinets like the SVT410H or SVT810E.
