Apple and Warner Bros. on Tuesday announced
pre-orders for the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new double-album Stadium Arcadium. What may be more significant is a deal Apple, the band and Ticketmaster have put together to sell concert tickets for the bands U.S. tour.
Customers can pre-order a copy of the band’s new album for $19.90 to be downloaded on May 9 when it is released. Fans that pre-order the double album will receive a download of the new single, “Dani California” immediately at the time of the pre-order.
If you pre-order the album, you will also receive an exclusive audio interview with the band, a video chronicling the making of “Dani California” and a full color digital booklet. This extra content will be available on May 9 when the album is released.
Fans who pre-order the album on iTunes will also receive an email with a code that they can use at Ticketmaster.com starting May 9 to purchase concert tickets before they go on sale to the general public on May 13.
iTunes will also offer a collection of the band’s music videos later this month including their latest video for “Dani California.”
