Paradigma Software Inc. on Tuesday announced the release of Valentina 2.3, an updated version of their relational database software for Mac OS X and other platforms. Changes in this release include Universal Binary support for Intel-based Macs.
A disk-based relational database management system, Valentina 2.3 features much faster database joins than its predecessor — on the scale of 2 to 6 times as fast as MS SQL Server and 50 – 100 times faster than mySQL, PostGre and other databases depending on the record size of a table.
Other improvements in Valentina 2.3 include improved speed and performance when adding records, new Show commands, new test projects, new VB.net examples and more.
Valentina 2.3 is a free upgrade for 2.x users; prices for a new license start at $199 depending on your needs.
