Brother International Corp. on Tuesday launched their P-Touch PT-2700 labeler. It works independently of a computer but can also interface to a Mac or PC using a USB cable. It will be available in May for $99.
The PT-2700 touts a backlit LCD display, angled keytops, built-in clock, automatic tape cutter and more. It includes a variety of pre-set label formats and layouts. You can also personalize it with customized font and format displays, symbols and text frames.
What’s more, the PT-2700 can connect to a Mac or PC using USB; you can import any TrueType fonts or clip art, logos and other graphics. You can also print mailing labels, serial numbers and other content from Excel spreadsheets or other Comma Separated Value (CSV)-formatted content.
The kit includes AC adapter, CD-ROM with software, USB cable, tape cassette and documentation.
Brother’s Web site had not been updated with information about the PT-2700 as Macworld posted this article.
