Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (DLO) on Wednesday announced it’s shipping the HomeDock Deluxe for iPod. The $149.99 device enables you to interface your iPod with a home entertainment system and navigate the iPod’s content with your TV screen.
Bundled with an 18-button remote control, the HomeDock Deluxe works with any Dock Connector-equipped iPod, iPod minis, iPod nanos, video iPods and fourth-generation iPods included. The HomeDock Deluxe charges the iPod while it’s in use and includes an AC power supply and AV cable that connects it to your home entertainment system.
Music content is displayed on the television screen, so you can navigate your playlists, artist lists, albums, sons, genres and other content using the included remote control. This is significantly different from DLO’s original HomeDock, which provides an AV interface for the iPod, but doesn’t provide the ability to navigate content from a TV screen.
The HomeDock Deluxe has two operating modes: On-Screen Navigation, for music interface on a TV and iPod Mode, which lets you play videos or view photo slideshows directly from the iPod. A button on the HomeDock Deluxes lets you select the mode you want to use.
The device features four color theme settings you can use to customize your on-screen navigation view: Aqua, Forest Green, Metal and Teal. Three different screen savers include Status Bar, Black Screen and DLO Logo.
What’s more, the HomeDock Deluxe operates as a Mac or PC-compatible dock for the iPod. It has its own USB 2.0 port to sync to your computer.
