Boston, Massachusetts-based audio software company iZotope on Thursday announced the acquisition of two virtual instruments, iDrum and pHATmatik PRO, from their creator Art Gillespie.
iDrum is a software drum machine designed for users of all skill levels in music production. iDrum features a 64-step sequencer for each loaded voice, drag and drop MIDI export, choke grouping, as well as level and pan control for each sound.
pHATmatik PRO is a software loop manipulation tool for music and sound design. Users can import multiple audio file formats, slice and adjust looping points and apply tempo, pitch, filters and many other parameters to each individual slice.
iDrum is available for $69.99 and requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later — it can be used as a standalone application or as a Pro Tools RTAS or Audio Unit plug-in.
pHATmatik PRO costs $149.99 and also requires Mac OS X 10.3 or higher — it is available as an Audio Unit and VST plug-in.
