Music hardware and software-maker Mackie has pledged support for Apple’s Intel Macs, saying the company would bring its products to the new platform by early summer 2006. As a Universal Binary, Mackie said its music production software, Tracktion, and associated Mackie plug-ins will allow users “to run more simultaneous tracks, plug-ins, and effects than ever before.” Mackie also said that Universal support for its family of FireWire equipped audio devices including the Onyx 400F, Onyx FireWire card, Onyx 1200F, d.2 DJ Mixer and the optional FireWire interface for the flagship Digital X Bus digital production console, is also forthcoming.
