Using a theme of “Cut to the Future. Final Cut Studio,” at the National Association of Broadcasters tradeshow this week in Las Vegas, Nevada, Apple executives boasted increased usage of the company’s professional-level postproduction software bundle.
“We now have 500,000 editors using Final Cut Studio,” Kirk Paulsen, Apple’s Senior Director Pro Applications Marketing, told Macworld .
Apple sees the increased momentum of Final Cut Studio users as a shift from the ground up. Editors, who typically do the daily cuts, are getting more freedom to choose the tools they want to use, which is resulting in more Final Cut support.
“This is definitely part of a major trend in the industry,” said Paulsen.
