Visitors to Apple’s booth at past National Association of Broadcasters tradeshows typically see high-end equipment in Apple’s demos: Power Mac G5s with Xserves and RAIDs running in the background have been standard fare.
This year’s show is a little different. Apple is running all of its demos using the 17-inch MacBook Pro — Apple’s new high end laptop computer unveiled Tuesday.
Apple said they are very confident in the speed and capabilities of the new MacBook running the high-end applications in Final Cut Studio, which is what more and more of the professional editors are looking for, according to Apple.
“Increasingly people are working with content in a mobile environment,” Kirk Paulsen, Apple’s Senior Director Pro Applications Marketing, told Macworld . “Now they can do it without compromise.”
