Tekkeon announced Friday the release of a limited edition black version of its myPower for iPod — a rechargeable battery and portable dock. It costs $69.95.
The myPower provides more than nine hours of extra video playback time for fifth-generation iPods and up to 42 hours of extended music playback. It’s a lithium polymer battery built in to a portable dock case. It also includes FireWire and USB 2.0 ports to sync the iPod to a Mac or PC, a line out connection for attaching a stereo or external speakers, and a 5V charging output to give juice to a mobile phone or other small portable device that needs a bump.
Included with the myPower is a USB 2.0 cable, five sets of sizing pads to accommodate third, fourth and fifth-generation iPods, a clip for the iPod mini and documentation.
